Dancing in the Dark for NORPA

So last night's shoot was a slightly challenging event. Imagine a large, dark hall lit only with a single red spotlight, a video projection on the far wall and a few fairy lights towards the back. It just confirmed yet again that I love my Nikon D700 in low light situations!

The event was a live performance by Melbourne dancer Tony Yap as part of NORPA's residency programme and part of the Generator Project. The 3 week lab explored cross-platform art forms and also involved local Lismore artist Karla Dickens, and from Sydney Khaled Sabsabi and Pascal Berry.

The initiative is called Range/Terrain and gave a whole new meaning to chasing the light!
